Academic Probation
Article (28)
1- A student is placed on academic probation if their cumulative GPA falls below (2). The maximum study load allowed is (15) credit hours.
2- The student must remove the probation within the following two semesters by raising their GPA to at least (2.0).
3- If the student fails to achieve the minimum GPA within the specified period, they may only register for failed courses.
4- For elective courses, the student may register for an alternative course. If passed, the new course replaces the original. The student has only two chances to raise their GPA and remove the probation.
Article (29)
A student may transfer to another major within the Faculty if this could improve their chances of removing the probation. The Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs must approve the new study plan, excluding courses and grades not aligned with the new curriculum.
