Admission Rules and Conditions

Admission Requirements:

A- The college accepts, in its various programs, students who have obtained a high school diploma in science and mathematics, a science and science diploma, or an equivalent certificate in the same academic year. This is in accordance with the coordination requirements of the Supreme Council of Universities, the Council of Private and Civil Universities, and the Scientific Academy Council. A science student must pass the course corresponding to the Math 2 course for a science and mathematics student in high school.B- The Scientific Academy Council, after consulting the College Council, determines the number of students accepted each year, as well as the minimum total score in high school or its equivalent, well in advance of the admissions process.

Admission of Transferred Students:

C- The Academy Council establishes a transfer policy for the College of Computer Science and Information from outside the Academy and between its branches, after consulting the College Council. This policy takes into account the regulatory rules of the Reference Framework for Computer Science and Informatics in this regard and the specific nature of study at the Academy, including:1- Transferred students from similar colleges may be accepted, provided that the courses they have successfully completed are recognized with a cumulative GPA of no less than 2.00 in the college from which they are transferring, and provided that their total score in the General Secondary Certificate or its equivalent is no less than the minimum score set by the Academy Council in the year they obtained their General Secondary Certificate or its equivalent.
2- Transferred students from colleges other than those of the Academy are required to have a high school score that qualifies them for admission to the College of Computer Science and Information in the year they obtain their secondary school certificate. 3. Obtaining a high school completion certificate (mathematics or science stream, according to the grades determined by the Supreme Council of Universities) or its equivalent. In all cases, the student must not have been expelled for dropping out of school before transferring to the college.4. Students may be accepted as auditors in a course—without obtaining a university degree—in accordance with the rules determined by the College Council.
Article (2)A student shall be admitted to the College of Computers and Information based on an application submitted before the start of studies and within the deadlines determined by the Academic Council. Applications submitted after the deadline may be considered with the approval of the College Council.
Article (3)Applications for admission to the College of Computers and Information shall be submitted to Student Affairs, accompanied by the following documents, duly certified:1. A transcript of the student's high school diploma or equivalent.2. A copy or official extract of the birth certificate.3. A copy of the ID card.4. A medical examination conducted by the Academy.5. Six personal photos.6. Any other requirements specified by the Academy's admission policy.The student must not have previously been permanently expelled for disciplinary reasons from another college or academic institute.
Article (4)Admission will be based on successful completion of the English language and aptitude tests, personal interviews conducted by the college, and other assessment methods determined by the Academy's Academic Council after consulting the College Council. This will be based on the student's overall grades in high school or equivalent.If the student does not achieve the required passing grade on the English language test, the student will take an additional English language course as part of the mandatory courses for the first year.
Article (5)Language of Instruction:The language of instruction is English. University requirements courses may be taught in Arabic, provided that the exam is in the same language as the course.
