Attendance and Absence Warning

Article (32)
Student Attendance:
a) To be eligible to sit for the final exam, a student must attend at least 75% of lectures and tutorials in each course. If a student exceeds 25% absence in any course without an accepted excuse, the Faculty Council may prevent the student from taking the final exam, and the grade "zero" will be assigned for the final exam of that course.
If the student submits an excuse accepted by the Faculty Council within the specified period, the student will be considered withdrawn from the course(s), and the grade transcript will record (W / Withdrawn).

b) The Faculty Council, after consulting the relevant department and depending on the nature of the courses, may decide that one or more courses be delivered in a hybrid learning format, where practical courses are taught 60–70% face-to-face and 30–40% online, or according to any ratio approved by the Faculty Council based on departmental proposals.

c) If these students miss the midterm exam, they will sit for a comprehensive make-up exam at the end of the semester, covering 75% of the course content, with a duration of 3 hours.

d) If these students cannot attend the final exam on its scheduled date in one or more courses, they may apply for an "Incomplete" grade, in which case the standard regulations for incomplete grades will apply.
